| Abstract: | Stipa serena, a new species of S. sect. Leiostipa belonging to the S. clausa group, is described from the provinces of Badajoz and Ciudad Real in southwestern Spain. Its morphological and anatomical characteristics are compared with those of other members of the S. clausa group. |
